AAMC Accommodations Financial Benefit

Up to $1,000 for your MCAT re-evaluation.

Your MCAT plans should not stall over an outdated evaluation. Eligible AAMC Fee Assistance recipients may get funding toward an updated report. College Psych Eval helps you understand your evaluation needs and prepare your documentation.

Free consultation. No obligation to book an evaluation.

Approval first. Evaluation second.

Receive financial-benefit approval before your re-evaluation. Previously completed evaluations are not covered.

Who is this benefit for?

Students updating an older comprehensive evaluation to support an MCAT accommodations request.

  • Fee Assistance approval

You have current AAMC Fee Assistance Program approval.

  • An outdated evaluation

You have an outdated comprehensive evaluation documenting your impairment and accommodation needs.

  • Benefit approval first

You apply for the benefit and receive approval before the new evaluation.

First-time evaluations are excluded. This benefit is not for obtaining a new evaluation to seek re-review of a prior determination. Funding is first come, first served.

How College Psych Eval helps

Bring us your questions about ADHD, learning differences, anxiety, or other psychological concerns affecting your MCAT. We will discuss whether our evaluation is appropriate for your documentation needs.

Talk through your situation

Tell us about your prior report, AAMC correspondence, and target test date. Start with a free consultation so you can make an informed decision.

Understand what needs updating

We review your history and discuss the assessment scope with you. Your clinician selects measures based on your needs and the relevant documentation guidelines.

Document your current needs

Your report explains clinical findings, current functional limitations, and the reasoning for any recommended accommodations. You submit it with your AAMC application.

College Psych Eval is an independent evaluation provider. AAMC administers the benefit and makes award and accommodations decisions. Provider inquiries about your application require your authorization. Discuss any coordination needs with our team.

How to apply, in the right order.

  1. Confirm Fee Assistance

Check your approval status in your AAMC account.

  2. Request the benefit

In the Accommodation Application System, open Service Requests and select the financial-benefit application. Upload your outdated report, or reference a prior submission AAMC deemed incomplete because of its age.

  3. Wait for the award

Review AAMC’s decision and instructions before receiving your re-evaluation.

  4. Update your report

If our service fits, complete your evaluation with us, then submit your documentation for accommodations review.

Financial-benefit approval does not guarantee accommodations. Questions about an award? Contact accommodations@aamc.org.

Your questions, answered.

Is this benefit included automatically with Fee Assistance?
No. Fee Assistance gives you access to consideration for evaluation funding, rather than an automatic award. Apply separately for the Accommodations Financial Benefit through AAMC.
How do I know whether my report is outdated?
AAMC’s recency requirements depend on the impairment and your anticipated exam date. Bring the date and type of your prior evaluation to your consultation. We can discuss your documentation needs using the applicable guidelines.
Does a diagnosis alone establish my need for accommodations?
Usually, a diagnosis alone is not enough. AAMC looks for evidence of how your condition currently limits access to the exam and why each requested accommodation addresses that limitation. Our evaluation focuses on your individual history and functioning.
Will I only have to pay $200?
That is an example, not a quote for your situation. It assumes our $1,200 paid-in-full evaluation is appropriate and the full $1,000 award applies. Confirm your award, evaluation scope, payment requirements, and timing before proceeding. Installment plans have additional fees.
What should I bring to a free consultation?
Have your prior evaluation date, Fee Assistance status, any AAMC correspondence, and target MCAT date available. Tell us what has changed and which testing barriers concern you. Ask our team how to share clinical records securely; you do not need to attach records to the inquiry form.
Can I get help if this benefit does not fit my situation?
Yes. We can discuss evaluation options, current pricing, payment plans, and telehealth availability in your state. A free consultation can help you understand whether our service is appropriate before you commit.
